Meran Fernando

Meran Fernando is an experienced Aircraft Structure Engineer currently working at SalamAir since January 2023. Previously, Meran held a similar position at VD Gulf from May 2016 to December 2022, where responsibilities included supervisory tasks such as manpower planning, workload distribution, and ensuring quality and safety during operations. Earlier experience includes roles as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at Etihad Airways from November 2013 to April 2016 and as an Aircraft Mechanic at SriLankan Airlines from October 2010 to November 2013. Meran's educational background includes training at the Asian Aviation Centre (Pvt) Ltd from 2008 to 2010 and completion of studies at St. Sebastian's College from 1994 to 2007.
