Jenn Columbus

Jenn Columbus joined the Board in spring, 2020. Jenn is a native to Oregon and the Salem area and she has worked in a variety of community-oriented and philanthropic settings. She is currently serving as the Philanthropic Advisor and Regional Director of the Northern Willamette Valley for the Oregon Community Foundation, the largest charitable foundation in the state.

Jenn received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon in 2006, majoring in Family & Human Services, with a minor in Special Education

In 2006, Columbus began a seven-year relationship with Family Building Blocks, a nonprofit organization serving Marion and Polk Counties. She coordinated grants and volunteers and supervised visitation and case management of families and children enrolled in family dependency treatment court.

In 2013, Columbus became the northwest area manager for SMART Reading, Oregon’s largest volunteer-driven nonprofit organization devoted to children’s literacy. Since 2017, she has worked with Oregon Community Foundation in service to donors, nonprofits and charitable endeavors in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties. Columbus currently serves as a board member with the Maps Credit Union Foundation, the Independence Downtown Association, and the Rotary Club of Salem. She recently held board positions with Mid-Valley Development Professionals, the City of Salem Cultural and Tourism Promotion (TOT) Advisory Board, and the Mid-Willamette Valley chapter of Leave a Legacy.
