Diane Yetter has a diverse range of work experience in the field of sales tax. Diane founded the Sales Tax Institute in 1996, offering personalized and expert courses on sales tax education through live seminars, webinars, and online courses. In the same year, they also started YETTER - tax meets technology, a sales tax consulting firm that specializes in sales tax systems implementation and research. Prior to that, Diane worked as a Manager at Arthur Andersen from 1989 to 1996. Diane was also a Sales & Use Tax Accountant at Quaker Oats from 1988 to 1989. At the start of their career, Diane worked as a Revenue Auditor II at the Kansas Department of Revenue from 1985 to 1988, where they conducted audits and developed a computerized audit workpaper program.

Diane Yetter obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting & Business Administration from The University of Kansas School of Business from 1981 to 1985. Diane later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Taxation from DePaul University, studying from 1988 to 1994. Diane has also pursued additional certifications, including being an Avalara Certified Implementation Partner for AvaTax and Managed Returns, which they obtained from Avalara University for Partners in June 2021. Diane is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Vertex Certified Partner, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
