Gail Frederick

Gail Frederick is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership and developer experience. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Heroku under Salesforce, Gail oversees the developer experience and platform, while also leading the engineering efforts for the Salesforce developer tools and services portfolio. Previously, Gail held various leadership roles at eBay, including Vice President of Mobile and Developer Ecosystem, where strategic reinvention of the public API and developer ecosystem was a focus. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Intel Corporation’s Open Source Technology Center and earlier roles in mobile software development at Medio Systems and MForma Americas. Gail holds an Advanced Certificate for Executives from MIT Sloan School of Management, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Washington and University of Michigan, respectively.
