Software Engineer - Engineering Enablement at SalesLoft

Taylor Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several years. They started their career as a Storeroom Worker, Cook, Server, and Dishwasher at Hillside Dining Services in 2013. In 2014, they took on multiple roles at Sports Page Tavern, including Cook, Bartender, Bouncer, and Bar Back. They also founded the Morale/Intra-Fraternal Relations Chair at Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity during this time. In 2015, Smith worked as a Cook at Valhalla Bar & Grill and also ran their own small business as an Independent Business Owner, specializing in DJing events for Tau Kappa Epsilon and Valhalla Bar & Grill. From 2016 to 2018, Smith held various positions at MAJOR® FLEX-MAT®, including Production Technician, Woven Department Lead, Maintenance Mechanic, and Mechanic - Project Specialist. In 2018, they started working at Amazon Logistics as an Area Manager I - Operations, leading shifts and managing a team. From 2018 to 2020, Smith returned to MAJOR® FLEX-MAT®, where they served as a Maintenance Mechanic and later as a Mechanic - Project Specialist, responsible for spearheading process and safety improvements. From 2020 to 2021, Smith continued their work at Amazon Logistics as an Area Manager I - Operations. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Salesloft as an Associate Software Engineer in Engineering Enablement.

Taylor Smith began their education journey in 2012 at Washington State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neuroscience. They completed their undergraduate studies in 2016. In the same year, Taylor also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Washington State University.

After a break, Taylor continued their education in 2018 and attended Louisiana Tech University. They pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering and Technology Management and completed their postgraduate studies in 2020. During their time at Louisiana Tech University, Taylor achieved additional certifications, including a Lean Bronze Certification and a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification, both in 2019. In 2020, Taylor obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from the same institution.

In 2021, Taylor decided to expand their skill set and attended Coding Dojo to gain expertise in Python Web Development (Django) in the field of Web Design & Data Science.
