Lawrence Hoar

Lawrence Hoar is an experienced engineering professional specializing in mechanical and opto-mechanical systems. Currently serving as the Mechanical Engineering Lead at Salience Labs since June 2025, Lawrence has previously held significant roles at XYZ Reality, including Principal Mechanical Engineer and Lead Mechanical Engineer. At DAQRI, Lawrence contributed as Principal Opto-Mechanical Engineer and Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer, focusing on prototype development for advanced display systems. Prior experience at BAE Systems encompassed roles as Lead Application Engineer and Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, with responsibilities in customer interfacing, team management, and mentoring. Lawrence's career began with an industrial placement at Airbus following a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Surrey.
