Michael Scott

Dean, Henson School of Science & Technology at Salisbury University

Michael Scott currently serves as the Dean at the Henson School of Science & Technology at Salisbury University since May 2019, and has held various roles at Salisbury University since 1998, including Interim Dean, Professor, Associate Dean, and Graduate Program Director of the Master of Science in GIS Management. As a Director of the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative since January 2004, responsibilities include staff management, client development, and technological innovation. Michael Scott also contributes as a member of the MidShore Regional Council and the Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, advocating for GIS in Maryland. Additionally, experience includes co-owning Wingin' It! and serving as Treasurer for the Pemberton Hall Foundation, Inc. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Geography from the University of South Carolina, and a BS in Geography from Salisbury University.
