Christie McVey

Christie McVey currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Sallie Mae since January 2024. Prior to this role, Christie held multiple leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from January 2015 to September 2023, including Managing Director for Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR), where responsibilities encompassed overseeing corporate functions and managing program governance for compliance and operational risk. Additionally, Christie served as Senior Audit Manager for Global Compliance and Legal, directing audit activities in that domain. Before JPMorgan Chase & Co., Christie spent nearly two decades at HSBC, progressing from various compliance roles to Senior Vice President positions, focusing on business risk control management, regulatory compliance governance, and compliance risk assessment. Christie McVey holds a degree from the University of Delaware.
