Hameer Ruparel

Hameer Ruparel, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Hameer began their career at Opera Solutions as a Senior Associate in Management Consulting from April 2005 to March 2006. Hameer then joined American Express where they held various roles including Senior Manager of Partner Analytics & Consulting from March 2006 to December 2009, Senior Manager of Business Development from January to December 2010, Director of Consumer Card Pricing Analytics from December 2010 to August 2013, and Vice President of Global Business Travel Pricing Strategy from August 2013 to April 2015. Hameer then joined Barclays as Senior Director, Head of Acquisition and Product Strategy, US Branded Cards from May 2015 to July 2018. Currently, they are working at Sallie Mae as Head of Business Strategy starting from January 2024. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Head of Data Science, Planning & Forecasting from March 2022 to January 2024, General Manager of Credit Cards from August 2020 to June 2023, and Head of Student Loan Product from July 2018 to August 2020.

Hameer Ruparel, PhD, began their education at Narsee Monjee Educational Trust's - Jamnabai Narsee School, where they completed their ICSE Board Diploma from 1982 to 1994. Hameer then obtained their High School Diploma from DG Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce in 1996. Continuing their education, Hameer earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from the Institute Of Chemical Technology from 1996 to 2000. Hameer further pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University from 2000 to 2002. Finally, they completed their doctorate, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University from 2002 to 2005.
