Karsten Ziegenhals

Karsten Ziegenhals currently serves as the Head of Central Planning at SALOMON FoodWorld, a position held since March 2025. Previously, Karsten worked at Vion Food Group in various roles, including Verpackungstechnologe and Category Manager Procurement Non-Food from October 2021 to March 2025. Prior to that, Karsten was with SALOMON FoodWorld GmbH as Head of Purchase Nonfood and Lagerleiter from January 2019 to September 2021. Karsten's extensive experience in the food industry began at Vion Food Group in management roles related to logistics and meat processing from May 2008 to December 2018. Earlier positions include Fachspezialist Einkauf Fleisch and Schichtleiter Warenfluss at Kaufland Fleischwaren SB GmbH, as well as foundational training as a Fleischer with a degree in food technology focused on packaging from Emil-Fischer-Fachschule für Lebensmitteltechnik. Karsten Ziegenhals also completed an apprenticeship as a Fleischer at Fleischerei Sittmann and Fleischerei Bernd Klotsche.
