Tony Barchetto

CEO at Salt Financial

Tony Barchetto is the current CEO of Salt Financial. Tony has over fifteen years of experience in financial markets, strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate development activities.

Barchetto began their career as a Product Manager at Lava Trading, a subsidiary of Citigroup. Tony then became the Head of Corporate Strategy at Liquidnet, where they played a significant role in facilitating the merger of Direct Edge with Bats Global Markets. In 2014, they joined Bats Global Markets as the EVP, Head of Corporate Development.

During their time at Bats Global Markets, Barchetto executed a number of successful M&A transactions, including the $3.4 billion sale to CBOE in 2017 and the $290 million initial public offering on the Bats exchange in 2016. Tony also oversaw the acquisition of Hotspot FX for $365 million in 2015 and the merger of Direct Edge with Bats Global Markets in 2014.

Tony Barchetto has a BSFS from Georgetown University in International Economics and is certified from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
