Bill Baranowski

Bill Baranowski is an experienced transportation planner and engineer, currently serving as a Transportation Planner/Engineer with Salt Lake City Corporation since October 2022. Bill began his career at the same organization in 1983 as a Technician and construction inspector. As the President of RoundaboutsUSA since 1999, Bill focuses on enhancing traffic safety through the implementation of roundabouts across North America. Previous positions include City Traffic Engineer for the City of West Jordan, Roundabout Designer at Stantec, and Transportation Engineer/Manager at the Mountainland Association of Governments. Bill has also contributed as a Traffic Engineer in various roles, including Assistant Traffic Engineer in Ventura and Senior Transportation Engineer at AECOM. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Transportation from Brigham Young University.
