Tom Millar

Tom Millar is the Planning & Design Manager for the Public Lands Department at Salt Lake City Corporation, responsible for overseeing a team that manages nearly $200 million in capital investment for public lands projects. With extensive experience in urban planning and transportation design, Tom has held roles from Transportation Planner III to Planning Manager within the same department. Additionally, Tom serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Utah College of Architecture + Planning, where Tom created a course on planning and designing for walking and bicycling. As a consultant and owner of Great Streets, LLC, Tom provides expertise in urban planning and street design while also previously holding a Senior Planner position at Alta Planning + Design. Tom began their career in planning at Salt Lake City Corporation, progressing from intern roles to significant project contributions in bicycle and pedestrian planning. Tom earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Utah.
