Vincent V. Barraza has a diverse work experience in the legal field. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Associate Attorney at the Maricopa County Public Defender Office. In 2008, they joined the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community-Defense Advocate Office, initially as a Staff Attorney. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Acting Director, overseeing a staff of ten people and managing a budget of nearly $1,000,000. Since 2013, Vincent has held the position of Director at the Salt River Defense Advocate Office, where they manage a team of lawyers and tribal advocates. This office provides representation to adult and juvenile offenders charged in the Salt River Tribal Court, as well as parents involved in dependency proceedings. Vincent's expertise also extends to handling enhanced sentencing cases under the Tribal Law and Order Act (TLOA).
Vincent V. Barraza obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from the City University of New York School of Law, where they studied from 2000 to 2003.
