Bilal Yildirim

Bilal Yildirim has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bilal began their career at Garanti Bank in 2004 as an Internal Auditor, where they worked until 2006. Following this, they joined Nortel Networks as a Network Support Engineer from December 2006 to December 2008. In 2010, Bilal joined Cisco, first as a High Touch Technical Support Engineer from July 2010 to July 2011, and then as a Network Consulting Engineer from July 2011 to July 2016. Bilal then joined Palo Alto Networks in July 2016 as a Senior Network Security Engineer, and worked there until November 2019. From December 2019 to January 2023, they were employed at Fortinet as a Technical Account Manager. Currently, Bilal holds the position of Technical Account Manager at Salt Security, which they started in January 2023.

Bilal Yildirim has an extensive education history. Bilal obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems (IS) from the Middle East Technical University from 2006 to 2009. Bilal'sundergraduate education was also completed at Middle East Technical University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering from 1999 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Bilal Yildirim has also earned several certifications. Bilal obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in October 2019. In November 2014, they completed the "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" certification from Rice University. Bilal has also earned the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center (CCIE) certification from Cisco, although the exact date is unknown. In April 2010, they obtained the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Service Provider (CCIE) certification. Furthermore, they hold the Amazon Web Services AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services and the VCP-DC VMware Certified Professional-Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware, although the exact dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
