Michael (Mike) Erlihson, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of data science, research, and academia. Michael(Mike) is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Salt Security since July 2020. Additionally, they are the Founder of the DeepNightLearners project, a community project aimed at making Deep Learning scientific papers more accessible, which they started in December 2020.

Previously, Mike worked as a Senior Lecturer and Member of the Advisory Board at Israel Tech Challenge from April 2020 to July 2021. Michael(Mike) also served as a Senior Data Scientist at Pipl, Inc. from May 2019 to July 2020 and as a Senior Data Scientist at Agoda from May 2018 to May 2019.

Mike has experience in the industry as well, having worked as a Chief R&D Consultant and a Member of the Advisory Board at RestAR - Revolutionary 3D & AR Technologies from July 2018 to July 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of a Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer at Samsung Electronics from February 2017 to May 2018, where they developed machine learning-based algorithms for storage systems.

In their earlier career, Mike worked as a Lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from February 2010 to February 2015. Michael(Mike) also held the role of Director of Research and Project Manager at Runcom Technologies from July 2009 to January 2011, where they were involved in the research and development of advanced PHY algorithms for mobile MIMO-OFDMA systems. Before that, they worked as a Senior Researcher at RunEL from August 2006 to May 2009, focusing on signal processing algorithms for mobile MIMO-OFDMA systems.

Overall, Mike Erlihson has demonstrated expertise in data science, research, project management, and academia, with a strong background in machine learning algorithms and signal processing.

Michael (Mike) Erlihson, PhD, began their education at Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they attended Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they obtained a M.Sc. degree specializing in Discrete Stochastic Processes and Random Combinatorial Structures. Finally, from 2003 to 2007, Mike pursued their Doctorate in Applied Mathematics at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, culminating in the completion of their Ph.D. degree.
