Robert Bloodworth has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry. Robert started their career at Bayer in 1989 as a Senior Research Chemist, focusing on polymer science and materials research. Robert then worked their way up within the company, holding various roles such as Production Plant Manager and Director of External Manufacturing, where they oversaw supplier selection and project management for toll manufacturing operations. In 2005, they joined Saltigo, a subsidiary of Lanxess, and served as Head of Procurement and Supply Chain, Head of Project Execution, and currently holds the position of Head of Procurement and Strategic Business Development. Throughout their career, Robert has been responsible for strategic and operational procurement, supply chain management, and project execution in the fine chemicals industry. Robert has also played a key role in developing and implementing procurement and supply chain concepts for newly formed subsidiaries.

Robert Bloodworth earned a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1988. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Dual Major - Polymer Science and Chemistry, earning a B.S. with Honors from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1983.
