Antonia Jara-Contreras

Antonia Jara-Contreras has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Antonia is currently the Co-Founder & CCO of saltyco®, a position they have held since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Design Consultant for ON5 Company UK from August 2019 to September 2019.

From June 2016 to June 2018, Antonia worked at IDEMAX CHILE as a Design Strategist, where they played a key role in supporting innovation processes for companies in various sectors using Design Thinking and ERA™ methodologies. Antonia also designed an educational tool for UNESCO and the Semilla Educational Foundation during their time there.

Antonia co-founded Planning Blue S.P.A in February 2016, where they worked as a Co-Founder and Designer. Antonia was responsible for designing wedding planning and production notebooks, negotiating with printing houses, and establishing business relationships. Antonia also devised the business plan for the company.

From November 2014 to February 2016, Antonia worked as a Project Manager at Novaimagen S.A., overseeing interior design projects for offices of different types of companies. Antonia led project development and coordination, designed layouts, managed budgets, and built relationships with clients and foreign suppliers. Antonia also played a role in attracting customers.

During their internship at Xilofor S.A. from November 2013 to January 2014, Antonia focused on technical and digital aspects of the company's internal catalog. Antonia also developed intelligent block software to optimize project graphics and layouts.

Antonia also completed an internship as a Graphic Designer at the Luksic Foundation from March 2013 to July 2013. Here, they worked on graphic and audiovisual projects for the Pascual Baburizza Agricultural Institute and handled corporate identity projects.

Antonia's earliest work experience was as an Assistant Professor of Digital Graphics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where they taught students to use Adobe computer programs for design and art production, as well as graded and assessed their projects. Antonia held this position from August 2010 to July 2012.

Overall, Antonia Jara-Contreras has a strong background in design strategy, project management, and entrepreneurship, with experience in industries such as education, technology, retail, and interior design.

Antonia Jara-Contreras completed their education starting from their undergraduate degree in Design at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which they pursued from 2008 to 2014. During their time there, they majored in Arts and Humanities, with a focus on Design.

In 2012, Antonia also attended the University of the Arts London, specifically Chelsea College of Art and Design, where they studied Graphic Design in Practice for a brief period.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Antonia pursued further education in the field of Innovation Design Engineering. Antonia enrolled in two separate Master's programs: one at Imperial College London and the other at the Royal College of Art. Antonia earned a Master of Science degree from Imperial College London and a Master of Arts degree from the Royal College of Art, both in Innovation Design Engineering. Antonia's study of this interdisciplinary field took place from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal degrees, Antonia Jara-Contreras also earned an Academic Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The specifics of when they obtained this certificate are not provided.
