Neal Salomon

Neal Salomon, MD, is a clinical and academic cardiovascular/thoracic oncologic surgeon. With deep knowledge and experience in medicine and therapeutic development, he has served as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and biotech companies and clinical research organizations (CROs), advising on all aspects of early-phase clinical development, as well as protocol development, medical monitoring, and pharmacovigilance for numerous clinical trials.

Dr. Salomon graduated from New York University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After surgical training at the University of Colorado and Stanford University, he served on the faculty of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and helped establish the state’s first heart transplant program. Dr. Salomon later served on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. He is a former board member of the Chesapeake Research Review, an internationally established institutional review board (IRB), covering all elements of human subject protection in clinical trials. Dr. Salomon has also served on several data and safety monitoring boards and was the founder and physician mentor for Johns Hopkins University’s pre-professional, post-baccalaureate program and mini-medical school. He has authored numerous scientific publications.
