Leonardo Silvestri

Leonardo Silvestri is an accomplished professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the R&D Manager at Saluda Medical since October 2021, where leadership is provided in developing closed loop neuromodulation therapies. As the Founder and Director of Zedelef Pty Ltd since April 2012, expertise in innovative solutions is demonstrated. Previous roles include Research and Development Manager at Closed Loop Medical, where significant contributions were made to the development of a sacral neuromodulation system now in clinical trials. In academia, Leonardo Silvestri held multiple positions at UNSW from August 2010 to February 2024, alongside research fellowships at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and Scuola Normale Superiore. With a PhD in Materials Science and dual degrees in Physics, Leonardo Silvestri possesses a strong educational background that complements extensive industry experience.
