Taavi Tamkivi

Taavi Tamkivi is the Founder and CEO of Salv. Taavi was previously the Global Lead of Compliance at TransferWise and the Revenue assurance and fraud data science lead at Skype. Taavi has also worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Bigbank. Taavi has a passion for helping people and businesses move money safely and efficiently. Taavi has built up operational teams and started products that have helped TransferWise grow exponentially while keeping the criminals away and regulators happy. At Skype, they were responsible for finding and stopping various types of fraud that were impacting the bottom line, including payment fraud, account take-overs, spam, and revenue assurance. Taavi is a seasoned financial executive with a proven track record of success.

Taavi Tamkivi is currently enrolled in an unfinished PhD program for Data Science / Machine Learning / Probability Theory at the University of Tartu. Taavi also holds a Masters from the University of Tartu in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics. Taavi's secondary education was completed at Tallinna Reaalkool. Taavi also has certification from GRAPA.
