Pilar Alvarez-Palazio has a strong background in marketing and public relations, with experience working for luxury fashion brands. Pilar started their career at Young & Rubicam Advertising, where they held various roles including Global Account Supervisor and Account Coordinator, managing advertising and marketing for the Colgate Palmolive account. Pilar then interned at Salvatore Ferragamo, where they worked on marketing campaigns and researched CRM systems. Pilar later joined Bulgari as an Area Marketing Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, overseeing marketing strategies for multiple points of sale. Currently, Pilar is the Director of Regional Marketing & Public Relations for Latin America and the Caribbean at Salvatore Ferragamo, where they lead a team and directs regional brand marketing plans.
Pilar Alvarez-Palazio earned their Bachelor of Science in Communications from Cornell University in the years 1996 to 2000. Pilar then pursued their Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing & Management from the University of Miami - School of Business between 2006 and 2008. Pilar also attended Fairfield University (Instituto Lorenzo De Medici) in an undisclosed timeframe to complete their Bachelor of Science in Communications. Prior to their higher education, Pilar attended Ransom Everglades High School.
