Dominic Regester has extensive work experience in the education sector. Dominic is currently serving as the Director of Education and Director of the Center for Education Transformation at Salzburg Global Seminar since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Program Director at Salzburg Global Seminar from April 2017 to September 2022.
In addition to their role at Salzburg Global Seminar, Dominic also worked as a Contributing Editor at Diplomatic Courier starting December 2020. Dominic was an Executive Committee Member at Karanga from December 2018.
Earlier in their career, Dominic worked for the British Council in various roles. Dominic served as a Senior Schools Adviser from July 2015 to April 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy Director of Education East Asia from July 2013 to July 2015, where they focused on education projects in the region. Dominic also worked as a School Programmes Development Manager for wider South Asia from July 2008 to July 2013, managing the Connecting Classrooms program. Additionally, Dominic held the positions of Project Delivery Manager and Project Delivery Officer, where they managed initiatives to promote international school partnerships and support the teaching of Chinese in UK schools. Dominic started their career at the British Council in November 2002.
Dominic Regester began their education in 2001 at SOAS University of London, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Chinese Studies. Dominic completed this program in 2002. Following this, from 2006 to 2012, Dominic attended IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education and International Development.
