Michael A. Shamma

Michael A. Shamma serves as the President and CEO of Sam Schwartz, where responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, guiding business growth strategies, and managing client relationships. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Northeast Transportation Business Line Leader at Gannett Fleming, and President of HAKS Engineers Architects and Land Surveyors PC. Shamma has extensive experience in leadership positions, including Chief Engineer at the New York State Thruway Authority and Director roles at the New York State Department of Transportation. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
