Shahar Avenstein has a comprehensive work experience in information security, starting in 2005 as a System Administrator in the Israel Defense Forces. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at Neo Quest as an IT & Security Expert and later as the IT & Security Experts Team Leader, managing international customers and providing IT consulting.

In 2013, Avenstein joined Comsec as a Senior Information Security Consultant & Project Manager, where they conducted information security consulting for various customers and led information security projects.

Shahar Avenstein completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology & Computers at MLA - The center of Academic Studies from 2011 to 2014. Shahar obtained a certification as a Certified Architect in Splunk 6 from Splunk Education in 2014. In 2012, Shahar received an ACP (AudioCodes Certified Professional) degree from Audiocodes, specializing in AudioCodes Solutions in the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Environment - Advanced. Additionally, they attended John Bryce in 2008 to study Microsoft Virtualization 2008 and in 2006 to become a Certified Microsoft Exchange Administrator by implementing and configuring Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server. In 2005, they completed a certification as a Certified Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Administrator by managing and configuring Microsoft Windows 2003 Server at John Bryce as well. Prior to that, Shahar studied Language Interpretation and Translation and Geography, earning a Bagrut degree from Gymnasia Realit between 2001 and 2004. Shahar also holds certifications as a Splunk Certified Architect from Splunk and an ACP (AudioCodes Certified Professional) from AudioCodes, both with no specified completion dates.
