Marius Nap

Marius is Surgical Pathologist and brings to SamanTree Medical his expertise in digital pathology.

Marius graduated as an MD at Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1979. After his training at the University of Groningen, he was registered as a surgical pathologist in December 1982. He was a consultant pathologist at Leiden University and later at the institute of public health in Friesland where he started to explore the possibilities of digital pathology. From 1996 until December 2015 he chaired the department of surgical pathology of the Atrium Medical center in Heerlen and introduced flow cytometry on solid tumors, speech recognition as well as digital pathology as part of daily routine.
