Desy Bachir

Desy Bachir has an extensive and diverse work experience. Desy currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Samara Group since April 2019. In addition, they hold the position of Head of Commercial & Strategic Partnerships at PT Surya Citra Media, Tbk, starting from September 2022. Desy Bachir is also part of Ideafest as the Co-Chair since January 2020. Desy has been involved with KADIN Indonesia as the Head of Permanent Committee on Marketing, Media, & Content (Tourism & Creative Economy) since 2021. Desy Bachir is also a member of the National Leadership Council of Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (APINDO) and focuses on Tourism & Creative Economy, Marketing Communications, starting from August 2023. Prior to their current positions, Desy Bachir co-founded All Stars and served as the Chief Marketing Officer from May 2018 to April 2019. Desy was also a Founding Partner at Catalyst Strategy, where they headed the media strategy team for Joko Widodo and achieved remarkable success. Additionally, Desy Bachir co-founded Avenu Indonesia, where they served as the Chief Marketing Officer, and played a significant role in managing Indonesia's first Content Creator Management and Network. Desy Bachir started their career with Unilever Indonesia in 2004 and held various positions, including Country Media Manager, Senior Brand Manager, Brand Manager, and Assistant Brand Manager. During their tenure at Unilever, they played a crucial role in implementing effective media strategies and driving the growth of the company.

Desy Bachir holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Indonesia. Desy also completed a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of Sydney, Australia.
