Shikhar Vyas has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Shikhar began their career as a General Surgery Resident at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems in 2012. After completing this role in 2013, they went on to work as a Resident Physician at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, they joined UNC Health Care as a Cytopathology Fellow, where they stayed until 2019. Shikhar then worked as a Surgical Pathology Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they serve as the Director of Laboratory Services and a Pathologist at Samaritan Medical Center since May 2022.
Shikhar Vyas has an extensive education history. Shikhar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University Indianapolis in 2006. Shikhar then pursued a Master's degree in Biology from the same institution from 2006 to 2007. Following that, they attended Indiana University School of Medicine from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctorate in Medicine. During this time, they also pursued an MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2011 to 2012, specializing in Business. Additionally, in October 2013, they obtained an Indiana Medical License from the Professional Licensing Agency of Indiana.
