Sarah Malavenda has a diverse work experience, starting in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant at SoulCycle Inc., where they provided general administrative support and assisted the executive team with financial reports. In 2018, they worked as a Communications Coordinator at Upstate Yoga Institute, where they wrote press releases, pitches, and social media content, and also monitored and captured client data. In 2019, Sarah became a Therapist at WELLNESS HIV AIDS SERVICES, INC., providing therapy services until 2020. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an SEO Specialist at The Digital Hyve. In 2020, they became a Psychotherapist at Washtenaw County Health Department until 2021. Sarah then co-founded Samata Health in 2020, where they hold the position of Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, they worked as a Behavioral Therapist at Chicago Center for Sex & Wellbeing, providing therapy for individuals, couples, groups, and families on various topics such as sex and sexuality, anxiety management, relationship issues, and more.
Sarah Malavenda attended Manlius Pebble Hill from 2008 to 2013, where they completed their high school education. Sarah then enrolled at Fordham University from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a bachelor's degree in Communication & Media Studies, as well as Spanish Language & Literature. Following this, Sarah pursued further education at the University of Michigan from 2019 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a focus on Interpersonal Practice and Community & Social Systems.
