Maria Artunduaga

Maria Artunduaga, MD, MPH, MTM, serves as a Guest Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, where insights are shared with undergraduate students regarding the journey into Deep Tech from the perspective of an immigrant woman from Colombia. As the Founder and CEO of Samay, Maria focuses on developing an AI platform for monitoring COPD patients, preventing hospitalizations. Engagements as a Guest Speaker with Diversity by Doing HealthTech aim to address gender, racial, and cultural inequities in healthcare, particularly for minority students. Maria's extensive involvement in prestigious incubators and accelerators, alongside experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and UCSF, complements a rich background that includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, significant contributions to genetics research, and leadership in health innovation.
