Chen Liu

Chen Liu is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the fields of AI and machine learning. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at SambaNova Systems since 2019, Chen Liu focuses on vision-language multimodality development and the optimization of machine learning systems performance. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at SambaNova Systems, where responsibilities included the co-design of AI accelerator architecture, development of distributed training infrastructure, and performance optimization for large language models. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Physical Design Engineer at NVIDIA and a Research Assistant role at Purdue University. Chen Liu holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
