Girish Venkataramani

Girish Venkataramani is an experienced technology leader currently serving as SVP of Engineering (Software, ML) at SambaNova Systems, where responsibility includes overseeing software and machine learning organizations to deliver high-performance AI solutions. Previously, Girish held multiple senior leadership roles at Cruise, including Senior Director for AI foundations and real-time performance for autonomous vehicle software, focusing on the complete AI lifecycle and optimizing software for various hardware accelerators. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Engineering Manager for ML Accelerators at NVIDIA and significant contributions at MathWorks, where product strategies for compiler products were led that significantly enhanced customer productivity. Girish earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.
