Norris Liu

Norris Liu is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in hardware engineering and machine learning technologies. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at SambaNova Systems since January 2022, Norris Liu is responsible for next-generation ML chip development. Prior to this role, Norris Liu led a cross-functional team at Google focused on TPU chip technologies from January 2020 to January 2022. Norris Liu's earlier career includes significant positions at Huawei, overseeing high-performance CPU development and managing large multi-site teams, as well as contributions to mobile processor design at Apple and memory compiler development at Novelics. Norris Liu holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics from Fudan University.
