Tiark Rompf

Tiark Rompf is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in computer science. Currently, Tiark serves as an Associate Professor at Purdue University since August 2014, and holds the position of Director at the Purdue University Center for Programming Principles and Software Systems (PurPL) since June 2019. Additionally, Tiark has been a Scientific Advisor at SambaNova Systems since April 2018. Previously, Tiark worked as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle from August 2012 to August 2014 and co-founded a healthcare software startup from 2000 to 2008. Tiark's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from EPFL, a Master of Science in Computer Science and Medical Informatics from Universität zu Lübeck, and a Vordiplom in Computer Science from the University of Bremen.
