Marie Tate

Marie Tate is a skilled professional with extensive experience in behavioral health and policy analysis. Currently serving as a Survey Statistician at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since August 2022, Marie previously held roles such as Health Policy Analyst at the RI Dept of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals and Data and Evaluation Specialist/Grant Specialist at Adil Business Systems, Inc. Notably, Marie developed a procedure manual for Block Grant needs assessment and designed targeted surveys during prior work with the Department of Behavioral Healthcare. With a strong academic background, including a PhD and MA in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, and a BS in Psychology from Christopher Newport University, Marie has also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Consultant, emphasizing the practical application of research to inform public policy and program effectiveness.
