Katie Schmid

Katie Schmid has extensive experience in marketing and strategic communications, currently serving as the AVP of Strategic Marketing for Life at Sammons Financial Group Companies since February 2014. Over the years, Katie has held various roles within the company, progressing from Marketing Specialist to Director of Marketing Strategy. Prior to this, Katie contributed as a Board Member for the South Dakota Advertising Federation from 2014 to 2017 and worked at Lawrence & Schiller as a Media Specialist and Media Intern from April 2010 to January 2014. Katie's early career includes internships in marketing communications at Midland National Life and Sioux Falls Skyforce. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Business with an emphasis in Marketing from Augustana University, earned between 2005 and 2009.
