Shawn Howerton

Shawn Howerton serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Sampson Regional Medical Center since 2011, while also operating as a Family Physician at Howerton Family Medicine since 2005. Prior experience includes a role as a Family Medicine Resident Physician at Riverside Methodist Hospital from 2002 to 2005. Shawn Howerton earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine between 1998 and 2002 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Toledo, completed in 1998.
