Allen Lu

Allen Lu is an accomplished AI Lead and Principal AI Engineer at Exo, specializing in the development of AI algorithms for innovative applications. Previously, Allen served as a Research Scientist at Amazon, where algorithms for perception in drone delivery were developed. As a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at EchoNous Inc., Allen led a team to create automated ultrasound interpretation features. Extensive academic experience includes positions as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant at Yale University, where methods for cardiac motion analysis were developed, with notable presentations at SPIE Medical Imaging and MICCAI conferences. Allen also interned at IBM Almaden Research Center, contributing to advancements in automated echocardiography measurement and securing a patent application. Allen holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University.
