Desirée Kohnen

Desirée Kohnen has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Captain in the US Army where they gained extensive tactical military intelligence experience over a span of 7 years. During their time in the Army, they provided critical threat and environment information to combat commanders and aviation air crews, led and directed teams of intelligence analysts, and oversaw intelligence, counter-intelligence, and security operations.

Following their military career, Desirée worked as a Summer Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in 2013, and then joined the company as a Consultant from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, Desirée transitioned to the startup world and became an Operations Manager at Beepi, where they contributed to the operational efficiency and success of the company.

Currently, Desirée holds positions at Samsara. Desirée started in 2017 as Vice President of Sales Operations, Strategy & Planning, and is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategy.

Throughout their career, Desirée has gained experience and expertise in strategy development, sales operations, operations management, and military intelligence.

Desirée Kohnen attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Desirée later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2012 to 2014.
