Jacek Barecki

Jacek Barecki has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jacek currently holds the position of Manager, Software Engineering at Samsara since October 2022. Prior to that, from May 2022 to October 2022, they served as the Head of Engineering at Westwing. At Westwing, they held multiple roles including Engineering Manager from May 2019 to April 2022, Tech Lead from May 2017 to April 2019, and Senior Software Engineer (PHP) from September 2016 to April 2017.

Jacek also co-founded and served as the CTO of cryptoduck.co from October 2018 to December 2020. During this time, they were responsible for setting up and managing a tech team in a cryptocurrency trading startup, as well as architecting and implementing a high-scale service-oriented architecture for processing cryptocurrency market operations.

Before that, Jacek worked as a PHP Backend Developer at CheckWare AS from September 2015 to August 2016, and as a PHP Full Stack Developer at Epicode sp. z o.o. from January 2014 to August 2015.

Jacek started their career as a Help Desk Specialist at Kozminski University from October 2011 to June 2012.

Throughout their career, Jacek has gained expertise with various technologies such as PHP, CakePHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, node.js, HTML, CSS, Linux, and SVN.

Jacek Barecki obtained a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Warsaw, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they received certifications in Web applications security training from Niebezpiecznik.pl in April 2019, MySQL 5.6 Developer from Oracle in March 2018, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in May 2017.
