Senior Account Executive, Mid-market at Samsara

James Base has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. James began their career as a Sales & Marketing Consultant at TriBen Insurance Solutions, Inc. in 2016, where they gained experience in designing sales materials. In the same year, they also co-founded and served as the CEO of Diversifyre, LLC, a startup focused on networking solutions for college students.

In 2017, James worked as a Research Consultant at DuckDuckGo, assisting in business intelligence efforts. James also joined Islands, an online growth and strategy company that was later acquired by WeWork. During their time at Islands, James developed plans for online growth and managed the ambassador program.

James went on to work at SAP in 2017 and 2018, where they held positions as a Global Audience & Partner Marketing Associate and a Corporate Communications Associate in the Financial Services Industries division. James conducted research and created marketing materials to support the company's go-to-market efforts.

From 2015 to 2019, James was involved in the American Marketing Association (AMA), serving as the President of the Temple AMA chapter in 2018-2019. During their tenure, the chapter received recognition as one of the Collegiate Chapters of the Year. James also held the role of Director of Professional Development, External, where they secured speakers and facilitated internship and job opportunities for AMA members.

In 2019 and 2020, James worked at Samsara, an IoT platform for operations. James started as an Account Development Representative I, supporting the Inbound Account Development team. James achieved high attainment goals and received awards for their performance. James later transitioned to an Account Development Representative III role, where they supported Regional Sales Managers and contributed to the Core Fleet business.

In 2020, James joined Medallia as a Commercial Sales Director, focusing on emerging business in the market research sector. James achieved various accomplishments, including closing deals for newly-acquired products and being recognized as a top performer.

Currently, James works at Samsara as a Team Lead in the Commercial Sales organization. James supports the East Commercial Sales team and has achieved notable accomplishments, including leading their team to exceeding attainment goals.

James Base attended Springfield High School from 2011 to 2015. James then enrolled at the Fox School of Business at Temple University in 2015 and completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in 2019.
