Marco Pillado

Marco Pillado has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marco is currently working as an Accounting Manager at Samsara, where they lead and drives meetings on key financial statement areas and is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. Before Samsara, Marco worked as a LATAM Finance Manager at a Business Consultant firm, where they assisted global companies in thriving in the LATAM market by providing services such as startups, international operations, internal and external auditing, and financial reporting. Prior to that, Marco was a Finance Manager at Globalization Partners, where they oversaw compliance oversight of the financial control environment for LATAM and collaborated cross-functionally with corporate partners. Marco also has experience working at Visa as a Senior Accountant LAC, managing the controllership function for Latin American countries and ensuring compliance with finance and accounting policies. Before that, they were a Senior Regional Accountant at Ciena, where they managed daily accounting activities, developed financial procedures and controls, and led the end month process across the region. Marco started their career at EMI Music as an Accounts Payable & Financial Analyst, where they developed and managed efficient processes for vendor routine and account reconciliation. Marco also provided technical support to EMI's Mexico staff regarding the accounting system.

Marco Pillado has an education history that spans multiple institutions and fields of study. In 1998, they attended UNAM - FES Cuautitlán and pursued a degree in Contaduría, specializing in Finanzas. Marco completed their studies in 2003 and earned a Licenciado en Contaduría.

In 2014, Marco obtained a Diploma degree in Taxes from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial.

In 2016, they enrolled in Universidad de las Américas, A.C. to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Marco completed their MBA in 2019.

Additionally, in 2017, Marco participated in a short-term program at Tecnológico de Monterrey, completing a Diplomado in Formación Estratégica para Gerentes de Alto Desempeño.

Lastly, Marco obtained a certification in Gesti??n de proyectos con un café from LinkedIn in February 2021.
