Mitch Barnett

Mitch Barnett is an accomplished security engineer with extensive experience in information security and technology sales across various organizations. Currently serving as Principal Security Engineer at Samsara since March 2021, Mitch has independently operated as the sole corporate security engineer, architecting secure systems and implementing Data Loss Prevention programs. Prior roles include Sales Engineer and DLP Specialist at McAfee, where Mitch focused on data protection solutions, and Sales Engineer at FishNet Security, providing technical support and driving security solution sales. Earlier experience includes leading SOC engineering at Integralis and senior network operations at Freddie Mac, where Mitch managed significant infrastructure projects and contributed to cost-saving initiatives. Mitch holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech.
