Jinyong Kim has a diverse work experience in various industries. In 2006, they worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan until 2012. After that, from 2012 to 2014, they co-founded and served as the CTO of a start-up company called Human Data System, where they invented a wearable sensor device and launched the company. From 2014 to 2016, Jinyong worked as a Research Scientist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where they conducted engineering research projects and managed various research initiatives. In 2016, they joined Vatech Networks as a Senior Product Manager, responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. Finally, in 2019, Jinyong joined Samsung Biologics as the Director of the Strategic Sales and Marketing Center, where they lead major proposals, supervises a team, and focuses on outstanding customer service.
Jinyong Kim earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their MS in Mechanical Engineering at the same university from 2006 to 2008. Jinyong Kim's undergraduate degree is a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, which they received from Seoul National University from 1999 to 2006. Additionally, they have a certification in the Program of Entrepreneurship from the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan.
