Daniel Oh

Daniel Oh is an accomplished AI and engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development. At Samsung Electronics from April 2019 to July 2022, Daniel served as Staff AI R&D Engineer and Tech Lead, where a voice-native moderation solution was developed to combat toxic online behavior, winning first place in a competition and becoming part of the Bixby AI platform. Additional contributions included the creation of a neural text-to-speech model for Bixby and celebrity voice development. Prior experience at Intel from July 2015 to February 2019 as a SoC Design Engineer involved the design of digital IPs for the next generation Xeon Processor Scalable family, focusing on AI and data center performance. Early career experience at Berkeley Expert Systems Technologies Lab as a Graduate Researcher included leading a team on innovative wearable device concepts funded by Samsung. Daniel Oh holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
