King-Jien Chui

King-Jien Chui currently serves as Vice President at Samsung Electronics, beginning in December 2023. Prior to this role, King-Jien Chui was the Director of the Quantum Integrated Circuits Group at the Institute of Microelectronics from October 2012 to December 2023, focusing on advanced packaging for quantum computing, including cryogenic packaging for superconducting qubits and integrated photonics for trapped ions. Additionally, King-Jien Chui led project management initiatives for advanced packaging integration. Prior experience includes a position as Research Scientist at Unisantis Electronics, where work involved the research and development of 3-D Surround Gate Transistors for sub-16nm technology nodes, and a role as Principal Engineer at TSMC, focusing on device design and integration for 28nm CMOS technology. King-Jien Chui holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microelectronics from the National University of Singapore, awarded in 2006.
