Krzysztof Arendt

Krzysztof Arendt is a seasoned engineering and data science professional with extensive experience in managing teams and conducting research. Currently serving as the Head of Part and Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics since October 2019, Krzysztof leads a group of over 10 engineers specializing in deep learning, audio analysis, and machine learning for embedded devices. Previously, Krzysztof held various positions at Wabtec Corporation, where responsibilities included developing predictive maintenance algorithms for locomotive diesel engines. Academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, where Krzysztof focused on numerical modeling of buildings and taught courses in statistics and energy simulation. Additional engagements include a postdoctoral fellowship at Berkeley Lab and teaching roles at Gdańsk University of Technology, complemented by a Doctor of Philosophy in Building Physics and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
