James Calata

James Calata is a civil engineer with extensive experience in project coordination and engineering roles. Most recently, James serves as Handover Coordinator for the Ras Laffan Petrochemicals Project – Ethylene Plant at SAMSUNG E&A since November 2025. Prior to this, James worked as a System Completion Engineer at TTJSV under SAMSUNG E&A, where responsibilities included preparation and coordination for Mechanical Completion and Commissioning Certifications, as well as project-related issue management. Additional experience includes roles as Turnover Coordinator at GS E&C for the KNPC Project, Project Engineer at the Department of Public Works and Highways, and Cadet Engineer at Cathay Industries. James began a career with a foundation as a Junior Estimator at Maccegon Steel Builders and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, completed in 2014.
