Mathieu Gardette

Mathieu Gardette is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in energy storage and hydrogen energy solutions. Currently serving as Director of ESS Engineering at Samsung SDI America Inc. since November 2016, Mathieu leads the Engineering group focused on Technical Sales & Marketing, Applications Engineering, and After-Sales Services. Previously, Mathieu held positions at LumaSense Technologies, Inc. as Sr. Manager in Engineering and Product Manager for Gas Monitoring, and at Air Liquide Hydrogen Energy as Technical Product Manager. Mathieu's work in hydrogen energy includes advocacy for the integration of hydrogen in energy storage schemes and project management in utility systems. Early career roles include Principal Engineer at Cryospace, focusing on cryogenic fuel tank propulsion, and Project Engineer at Trigen Energy Corp. Mathieu holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from CentraleSupélec.
