Abe Menzin

Principal, Executive Vice President at Samuels & Associates

Abe Menzin has extensive work experience in the real estate and construction industry. Abe started their career at Turner Construction in 1999, where they held various project management positions until 2003. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger. In 2006, they joined Cabot, Cabot & Forbes as a Project Manager, where they managed mixed-use, office, retail, and residential real estate projects. Abe played a key role in the development and finance team for a 4.5 million square foot mixed-use development project. In 2010, they joined Samuels & Associates as an Executive Vice President of Development. In this role, they were responsible for managing all aspects of large urban mixed-use development projects. Abe oversaw activities such as acquisition, masterplanning, community relations, entitlements, design documentation, and financing. Notable projects they worked on include The Van Ness, a $350 million mixed-use project in the Fenway neighborhood. In 2020, they were promoted to Principal and continued to serve as an Executive Vice President at Samuels & Associates.

Abe Menzin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University from 1994 to 1998. Abe later pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science degree. During their time at MIT from 2004 to 2006, they studied both Civil Engineering and Real Estate Development, obtaining dual masters degrees in these fields. In addition to their formal education, Abe Menzin also holds a certification as a LEED AP, though the institution and exact date of obtaining this certification are unknown.
